Who wants to be a milliner?

I bumped into Brendan Courtney last weekend , he's come up with the fantastic idea of searching for the next star in millinery.

 There are incredibly talented milliners blossoming all over the country, so what a super opportunity to really show what you're capable of!

The rules are still to be confirmed, and for what I gather in our brief encounter it is open to anyone who would like the chance to showcase their craft and talent.

So if you've been quietly making hats for decades, or have always dreamed of doing it and feel you have what it takes to become the next Philip Treacy or Stephen Jones check out his Facebook page to hear about how to apply etc...

No time to breathe this month... travelling to and from Paris, I am also knitting and collecting my favourite things for the next opening of The Silent Gallery in October.

Launching tonight on Level 3, a group of Irish Designers will be showcasing their collections until the 18th of September.

A Little Night Music with Peter O'Brien

Today at 7pm (Irish time) Peter O'Brien will be on Lyric FM sharing some  'favourites' from his play list

I'm not sure what he'll be playing, but he promises an hour 'free of electric guitars'

I suspect Sondheim will be a likely protagonist.

I'm sure it will be wonderful
